Bucks County Yardley Access to Temporarily Close

null

HARRISBURG, Pa. (Nov. 4) — The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) is alerting anglers and boaters who use the Yardley Access area on the Delaware River that the facility will be temporarily closed on Nov. 9.

The access area is located in Lower Makefield Township, Bucks County.
The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission and its contractor will be stabilizing and preparing a small portion of the access site in anticipation of its use to stage equipment and materials in connection with the construction of a peregrine falcon nest box on an island in the Delaware River north of the Scudder Falls Toll Bridge. The construction of the nest is part of the commission’s bridge replacement project.
The access area will be reopened to the public on Nov. 10.
It is anticipated that the access site will be closed on two more occasions in connection with this project.
Press releases will be issued when those dates are known.
