Harrisburg, PA - The Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission (PHRC) has launched a new option for individuals to use in filing a discrimination complaint. Discrimination complaint questionnaires are now in Spanish.
By placing Spanish forms on our website, we hope to enable individuals to have better access to discrimination complaint questionnaires. This new option will allow individuals convenience and is also geared toward increasing accuracy of the information gathered.
“I am glad we are now able to provide our questionnaires in Spanish,” said Executive Director JoAnn Edwards. “People come to use because they have experienced an act of discrimination against them. Being able to complete the questionnaire in their native language hopefully will help ease the anxiety of their experience and show them that we are here to help.”
Spanish discrimination questionnaires are the first of other language options the PHRC plans to provide to the public in the future. Questionnaires can be accessed and downloaded from the PHRC website. A completed questionnaire can be returned by mail, facsimile or email.
The PHRC is the state agency that is charged with upholding Pennsylvania’s anti-discrimination laws and promoting equal opportunity for all Commonwealth residents. The PHRC has regional offices in Harrisburg, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.
