HARRISBURG, Pa. (August 26) – The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) announced today that, effective immediately, the North and South Access boat launch ramps at High Point Lake, Somerset County, will be closed and will remain closed until the completion of a major dam rehabilitation project planned at the lake.
The closure is needed due to inadequate water levels as a result of the ongoing drawdown at the lake. During the closure, parking areas will remain open and walk-in fishing will be permitted for anglers.
As previously announced, a public meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, regarding the dam rehabilitation project. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the gymnasium of the Confluence Borough Office, located at 711 Logan Place, Confluence, PA 15424.
