April 28, 2026 Safety Partners Keep 805,000 Fans Safe During NFL Draft and Related FestivitiesAs part of the Shapiro Administration’s commitment to securing high-profile events across the Commonwealth, the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA), and the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) mobilized significant resources and coordinated with federal, state, and local partners to make the 2026 NFL Draft safe and secure for the record breaking 805,000 fans who participated in the festivities.

April 21, 2026 PSP Mobile Radio Tower to Strengthen Emergency Communications During NFL Draftthe Pennsylvania State Police today introduced its P25 Land Mobile Radio Cell on Wheels (LMR-COW), which will be utilized during the 2026 NFL Draft to help strengthen emergency communications and bolster safety for visitors, residents, and first responders. The P25 LMR-COW is a mobile radio tower that stands 100 feet tall and is mounted on a towable trailer.
