PA Human Relations Commission Orders the Legion Home Association of Lock Haven Pennsylvania to Pay $6,841.10 for Race-Based Discrimination

Harrisburg - The Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission’s (PHRC) has ordered the Legion Home Association of Lock Haven Pennsylvania to pay Donald Jackson of Philadelphia $6,841.10 for race-based discrimination plus six percent interest. The order took effect on Tuesday, April 25, 2016.

Jackson filed a complaint alleging that his employer, the Legion Home Association of Lock Haven Pennsylvania terminated his employment based on racial discrimination.
The commission held a public hearing to determine damages and ordered the Association to cease and desist from race-based discrimination and pay Jackson $6,841.10 plus interest for back pay.
The commission also ordered the Association to hold training for the Legion Home Association of Lock Haven Pennsylvania Board members regarding individual rights under the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act (PHRA).
