Harrisburg, PA – Lieutenant Colonel George Bivens, Acting Commissioner of the Pennsylvania State Police, today announced the promotions of one major, seven captains, and ten lieutenants during a ceremony at LCBC Manheim in Lancaster County.
Promoted to Major
Major Thomas A. Hertlein is assigned as the director of the Bureau of Patrol. Major Hertlein enlisted in the State Police in 2005. He achieved promotions to corporal in 2012, sergeant in 2017, lieutenant in 2020, and captain in 2022.
Promoted to Captain
Captain Michael P. Becker is assigned as the director of the Special Services Division in the Bureau of Emergency and Special Operations. Captain Becker enlisted in the State Police in 2005. He achieved promotions to corporal in 2016, sergeant in 2018, and lieutenant in 2024.
Captain Jamie L. Brumbaugh is assigned as the commanding officer of Troop G, Hollidaysburg. Captain Brumbaugh enlisted in the State Police in 2002. He achieved promotions to corporal in 2009, sergeant in 2018, and lieutenant in 2022.
Captain Christopher E. Clark is assigned as the division director of the Logistics and Support Services Division in the Bureau of Research and Development. Captain Clark enlisted in the State Police in 2003. He achieved promotions to corporal in 2012, sergeant in 2016, and lieutenant in 2019.
