Overview
The Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission (MPOETC) ensures that every local municipal police officer in the Commonwealth is prepared for the job. Our work focuses on three pillars:
- Education and training: We provide the curriculum for police academies. We also require yearly continuing education so that officers stay up to date.
- Certification: We manage the certification for all municipal police in the Commonwealth. This ensures that officers comply with job and training requirements.
- Accountability: Our statewide database and uniform standards help police departments hire with confidence.
MPOETC helps keep our communities safe and our officers prepared throughout their career. Stay connected and informed through our quarterly newsletter.
