Overview

To become a certified municipal police officer, you must meet qualifications as specified in Pennsylvania Code Title 37, Chapter 203, Section 203.11. This includes requirements about:

  • Age
  • Education
  • Citizenship
  • Criminal convictions
  • Reading level
  • Physical examination results
  • Psychological examination results
  • Background investigation results
