    Looking for hands-on, outdoor seasonal work? The Pennsylvania Game Commission is hiring Seasonal Game Farm Workers at Howard Nursery in Centre County.

    Location: Howard Nursery, 197 Nursery Road, Howard, PA

    Spring Seedling Season

    Seasonal Game Farm Worker

    Season: April through May (weather dependent)
    Duration: Approximately 6–8 weeks, 40 hours per week
    Experience Required: None

     

    Typical duties include:

    • Groundskeeping
    • Nursery field setup & lifting
    • Harvesting and packing seedlings
    • General trade maintenance and other nursery support tasks

    Seasonal Game Farm Worker

    Start date: April (weather dependent)
    Duration: Approximately 18 weeks, 40 hours/week, up to 749 hours
    Experience required: None

     

    Typical duties include:

    • Lifting, counting, grading, and shipping seedlings
    • Groundskeeping and weeding
    • Collecting and processing seeds
    • Assisting in the woodshop and other nursery-related manual labor

    What to Expect

    Seasonal Game Farm Workers assist with the daily operations of the Howard Nursery and play an important role in preparing seedlings for wildlife habitat and conservation projects across Pennsylvania.

    This position involves hands-on outdoor work, physical labor, and supporting a small team responsible for nursery operations.

    • Schedule: Monday-Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
    • Hourly Rate: $17.31
    • Experience Required: No experience is necessary.
