Language Access Management Program

Pennsylvania government works best when everyone can get important information from Commonwealth agencies in a language they understand. The Language Access Management Program (LAMP) works to support people in accessing government information and services.

Why It Matters

LAMP helps:

  • Connect people to Commonwealth job opportunities, critical information on public safety, and other vital government services
  • Support small businesses and entrepreneurs by making it easier for them to get government information and services they need
  • Build stronger communities by making government information accessible to all

What We Do

LAMP helps state agencies make sure Pennsylvanians can:

  • Get key information in multiple languages
  • Find translated materials in their communities and on state websites
  • Receive effective services from staff trained to work with high-quality, professional language services

How We’re Taking Action

We are:

  • Supporting Commonwealth service providers in offering access to language resources to translate materials like brochures, flyers, and website content
  • Training staff across agencies
  • Leveraging emerging technology responsibly to improve translation speed and accuracy
