SBHE Executive Director Search Announcement and Posting
The SBHE’s inaugural Executive Director, Dr. Kate Shaw, will be stepping down in January 2027.
In the first two years of the Board’s existence, it has adopted a bold, common-sense higher education strategic plan for the first time in two decades; launched an historic set of Data Dashboards that inform the Board’s work and the public’s understanding of the sector; established strong, cross-sector partnerships; and provided a forum for robust public input on issues critical to the well-being of the sector and the Commonwealth.
With this strong foundation in place, the Board seeks a strong and effective leader as it continues its work to ensure that Pennsylvania’s higher education sector serves as a world-class engine of economic prosperity in the Commonwealth.
