Protecting Pennsylvania
The Office of State Inspector General protects and promotes the integrity of Pennsylvania state government. We do this by:
- Investigating reports of fraud, waste, abuse, and misconduct in state government agencies.
- Training state grantees and inspecting grants and contracts.
- Preventing public assistance crimes against families who rely on benefits.
- Prosecuting those who steal from public benefits recipients and programs.
- Supporting public safety through the Pennsylvania Citizen Law Enforcement Advisory and Review (CLEAR) Commission, which ensures accountability for state law enforcement agencies.
Our work protects taxpayer dollars and makes sure Pennsylvania state government is running well.
