Overview

Homeland security, at its core, is hometown security.

That's why the Governor's Office of Homeland Security (OHS) is committed to protecting hometowns across Pennsylvania.  We want you to feel safe when you gather to enjoy concerts, sporting events, celebrations, and more.

OHS prevents targeted violence by strengthening security, training stakeholders, and protecting communities. It coordinates security activities with:

  • Federal and state agencies
  • Regional task forces
  • Local governments
  • The private sector

We also identify and protect critical assets and provide guidance, training, and grant funding to support preparedness.
