Pennsylvania Wine Program

Over the years, the PLCB has worked to build relationships with the Pennsylvania Winery Association and individual Pennsylvania wineries and winemakers. Today, Fine Wine & Good Spirits (FW&GS) stores feature more than 100 different Pennsylvania wines and sell millions of dollars worth of these wines each year.

How to participate

To participate in the Pennsylvania Wine Program, a winery must:
  • Be designated as a PA Preferred® winery through the PA Department of Agriculture. For information on how to become a PA Preferred®-designated winery through the PA Department of Agriculture, visit papreferred.com.
  • Be up-to-date and current on all Limited Winery assessment fees.
  • Only offer its most current vintage for sale in stores.
  • Meet federal labeling standards for Pennsylvania wine, which require that at least 75% of the grapes used to make the wine were grown in Pennsylvania.

In-state wineries may select up to 10 products to place in up to 10 FW&GS stores of their choosing. Items will be tasted and evaluated prior to acceptance. Each winery must sell at least one case of wine per store, per month to continue participating in the program.

More information can be found in our Policies and Procedures for Vendors guide.
