FW&GS to Welcome Pennsylvania College Football Greats & Whiteout Tequila Blanco in State College Store

Christian Hackenberg, Michael Mauti, and Jason Cabinda to sign bottles

State College – Christian Hackenberg, Michael Mauti, and Jason Cabinda, three Pennsylvania college football greats, will sign bottles of Whiteout Tequila Blanco at Fine Wine & Good Spirits (FW&GS) Premium Collection, 1536 N. Atherton St., State College, on the day before the big whiteout game in Happy Valley.

Hackenberg, Mauti, and Cabinda will appear at noon on Friday, Sept. 26, and sign bottles of Whiteout Tequila Blanco (Code 100052385; $39.99). Event attendees must be at least 21 to enter the premises unless accompanied by an adult. Bottles will go on sale when the store opens on that day. The former players will not sign any items other than bottles purchased at this FW&GS store on Friday, Sept. 26.

Christian Hackenberg made an immediate impact when his college football career began in University Park in 2013. He led his team to a winning season and a bowl game victory that earned him conference Freshman of the Year honors. Over three seasons (2013-2015), he broke multiple program passing records, becoming the all-time leader in passing yards, completions, and total offense at the time. Known for his strong arm and poise, Hackenberg was selected in the second round of the 2016 pro football draft and had stints with professional teams in New York, Oakland, Philadelphia, and Cincinnati. Since his playing days, he has turned his focus to coaching, mentorship, and media, where he continues to share his passion for the game.

Michael Mauti was known as the emotional leader and heart of the University Park college football program during one of its most challenging periods. Playing from 2008 to 2012, he was a fierce linebacker and team captain who earned All-Conference and All-America honors for both his performance and his leadership. Drafted by a pro football team in 2013, Mauti went on to serve as special teams captain from 2015 to 2017 in New Orleans, where he delivered a memorable blocked punt returned for a touchdown, echoing one of the most iconic moments in franchise history. His career reflects a relentless commitment to excellence, resilience, and inspiring those around him.

Jason Cabinda built his reputation as a versatile, high-motor linebacker who could read the field and make plays from sideline to sideline. Competing in University Park from 2014 to 2017, he became a three-year starter and team captain his senior year, finishing his college career with more than 280 tackles and a reputation for toughness and leadership. Undrafted in 2018, Cabinda signed with the team in Oakland, Calif., before transitioning to fullback with the Detroit pro club, where he contributed on offense and special teams. His adaptability and commitment on and off the field made him a respected figure among teammates and fans alike.

According to the official Whiteout Tequila website, “Every bottle of Whiteout is crafted with care,” “born in the heart of Jalisco’s agave fields [in Mexico], and raised by the spirit of Pennsylvania: a place defined by grit, pride, and loyalty.” Founders Mauti and Hackenberg describe their journey to develop Whiteout – the packaging for which playfully features latitude and longitude coordinates just north of University Drive in University Park, PA – as an effort to “bottle a feeling – the kind that hits you when 100,000 voices turn into one.”
