Fine Wine & Good Spirits to Host Former Pittsburgh Penguin and Producer of Spittin' Chiclets at Bottle Signing in Homestead

Homestead – The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) will host Ryan Whitney, former Pittsburgh Penguin hockey player and host of Spittin' Chiclets, the most popular hockey podcast in the U.S. and Canada, and Barstool Sports producer Mike Grinnell on Wednesday, March 29, starting at 4:00 PM at Fine Wine & Good Spirits Premium Collection, 330 E. Waterfront Dr., Homestead. They will meet with fans and sign bottles of New Amsterdam Pink Whitney Pink Lemonade Vodka.

Ryan Whitney was selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins fifth overall in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Following time with the Penguins minor league affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Whitney played his NHL rookie season in 2005-06. He remained in Pittsburgh for 3½ seasons, helping the club reach the 2008 Stanley Cup Finals. He was traded to the Edmonton Oilers in 2010 after a brief stint with the Anaheim Ducks. Whitney competed internationally for the U.S., winning a silver medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

Mike Grinnell is the executive producer of Spittin' Chiclets and fourth mic on the show. He was born and raised in Boston, Mass., but currently lives in New York City. Mike is a diehard Boston Bruins fan.

New episodes of Spittin' Chiclets air Tuesdays on Barstool Sports. The podcasts focus on the NHL and professional hockey, but Whitney and co-host/former player (and Penguin) Paul Bissonette touch on pop culture and stories from their playing days.

New Amsterdam Pink Whitney Pink Lemonade Vodka was inspired by Ryan Whitney's favorite drink: a mix of award-winning New Amsterdam Vodka and pink lemonade. Starting at 4:00 PM on March 29, complimentary in-store tastings of New Amsterdam Pink Whitney Pink Lemonade Vodka (code 0679; $14.59) will be available in conjunction with the bottle signing for customers 21 years of age and older.

Every person in line for the signing must have purchased at least two 750 mL bottles or one 1.75L bottle (code 96290; $25.99) of New Amsterdam Pink Whitney Pink Lemonade Vodka.

The PLCB regulates the distribution of beverage alcohol in Pennsylvania, operates 600 wine and spirits stores statewide, and licenses 20,000 alcohol producers, retailers, and handlers. The PLCB also works to reduce and prevent dangerous and underage drinking through partnerships with schools, community groups, and licensees. Taxes and store profits – totaling nearly $19.5 billion since the agency's inception – are returned to Pennsylvania's General Fund, which finances Pennsylvania's schools, health and human services programs, law enforcement, and public safety initiatives, among other important public services. The PLCB also provides financial support for the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs, other state agencies, and local municipalities across the state.
