PLCB to Temporarily Close Green Ridge Plaza, Scranton Fine Wine & Good Spirits

Temporary store will open in same plaza

Scranton – To accommodate renovations at the Fine Wine & Good Spirits (FW&GS) at Green Ridge Plaza, 1610 Nay Aug Ave., Scranton, Lackawanna County, the store will temporarily close at 7:00 PM Sunday, Sept. 14.

Customers are encouraged to shop for wines, spirits, and accessories at a temporary store in the same plaza. The temporary store will be open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The temporary store phone number will be 717.504.4000.

The PLCB regulates the distribution of beverage alcohol in Pennsylvania, operates about 575 wine and spirits stores statewide, and licenses more than 20,000 alcohol producers, retailers, and handlers. The PLCB also works to reduce and prevent dangerous and underage drinking through partnerships with schools, community groups, and licensees. Taxes and store profits – totaling nearly $21.1 billion since the agency’s inception – are returned to Pennsylvania’s General Fund, which finances Pennsylvania’s schools, health and human services programs, law enforcement, and public safety initiatives, among other important public services. The PLCB also provides financial support for the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs, other state agencies, and local municipalities across the state.
