Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board Announces 20% Off Store Closing Sale at Fine Wine & Good Spirits in Kittanning, Armstrong County

Kittanning – The Fine Wine & Good Spirits at 137 S. Jefferson St., Kittanning, Armstrong County, is closing, so all wines, spirits, and accessories at this location will be an additional 20% off during regular business hours from Tuesday, March 21, through Saturday, April 1.

The store's last day of business will be Saturday, April 1, as this structure would require substantial safety and customer convenience upgrades. In February, the PLCB opened a new Fine Wine & Good Spirits store two miles away in a very popular shopping center.

While the store is scheduled to be open through April 1, if the store runs out of stock, it will not be restocked and the store will close.

This sale is only available at the 137 S. Jefferson St., Kittanning, location from March 21 through April 1 to retail customers; the sale is not available to licensees, who already receive a discount off retail prices.

After April 1, area customers are encouraged to shop at these nearby Fine Wine & Good Spirits locations:

  • 2 Hilltop Plaza, Kittanning
  • 240 Buffalo Plaza, Sarver, Butler County

Store hours and additional Fine Wine & Good Spirits locations can be found at FWGS.com.

The PLCB regulates the distribution of beverage alcohol in Pennsylvania, operates 600 wine and spirits stores statewide, and licenses 20,000 alcohol producers, retailers, and handlers. The PLCB also works to reduce and prevent dangerous and underage drinking through partnerships with schools, community groups, and licensees. Taxes and store profits – totaling nearly $19.5 billion since the agency's inception – are returned to Pennsylvania's General Fund, which finances Pennsylvania's schools, health and human services programs, law enforcement, and public safety initiatives, among other important public services. The PLCB also provides financial support for the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs, other state agencies, and local municipalities across the state.
