Application Requirements
You can apply for workplace safety committee certification through WCAIS.
Application Requirements
- Login or create a profile in WCAIS at www.wcais.pa.gov.
- Select Begin working or Continue working on an initial application – In the Quick Links section, select “Begin an Initial Application for Certification”. To continue an application you have started, in the Quick Links section, select the H&S Program Summary” and navigate to the Application and Reports tab.
- Complete the application, the four tabs of the application (applicant information, supplemental FEINs and policies information, committee workplace information, and acknowledgments and agreements.
- Sign and submit your certification application
- An H&S specialist will send you the approval, disapproval, or request for more information via the Correspondence section of the WCAIS Dashboard.
Application Deadlines
Your certification application must be submitted to L&I's Health and Safety Division 90 to 30 days prior to your workers' compensation policy's renewal date.
If you are a self-insured employer, the application must be submitted 90 to 30 days prior to your self-insurance application renewal date.
