Harrisburg, PA – Yesterday, Governor Josh Shapiro launched a new, centralized consumer protection hotline, website, and email address to make it easier for Pennsylvanians to report scams, resolve financial and insurance issues, and access help from the Commonwealth. The announcement is part of the Shapiro Administration’s initiative to protect Pennsylvania consumers and fill the void left by weakened federal consumer protections.
As a result of the Governor’s announcement, Pennsylvanians now have access to a new, streamlined way to report scams, resolve financial or insurance issues, and connect directly with the Commonwealth for help.
With federal consumer protections being rolled back, Pennsylvania is stepping up by launching a centralized hotline, website, and email address to make it easier for residents to get the support they need — no matter the issue.
Consumers can now:
Call 1-866-PACOMPLAINT (1-866-722-6675)
Visit pa.gov/consumer
Email consumer@pa.gov
This is part of the Shapiro Administration’s broader effort to protect Pennsylvania consumers as the federal government steps back from its role. With strong consumer protection laws already in place, Pennsylvania is stepping up — whether it’s a denied health insurance claim, a suspicious financial transaction, or a problem with a student loan servicer, help is now just a call or click away.
The new tools connect Pennsylvanians with the right state agencies — including the Department of Banking and Securities, Pennsylvania Insurance Department, and others — to get answers and take action.
