The position is located at 2400 Thea Drive, Harrisburg and will be eligible for a hybrid remote/in-office schedule of three days onsite and two days telework at the discretion of the General Counsel. The position will be classified as either an Attorney 1, 2, 3, or 4, depending on the level of relevant experience possessed by the successful applicant.
What You'll Do:
Attorneys within the Prosecution Division prosecute various professionals that are licensed by the 29 professional licensure boards administered by the Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs (BPOA) within the Department of State. Primary duties include but are not limited to: drafting and filing appropriate pleadings and briefs; negotiating consent agreements; and presenting cases before hearing examiners and/or licensing boards and commissions.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience as a licensed attorney preparing for, participating in, and/or appealing formal hearings or trials involving litigation and/or administrative law at the Federal, State or local level is preferred. Qualifying litigation experience involves cases in which a complaint was filed with a court, or a charging document (e.g., indictment or information) was issued by a court, a grand jury, or appropriate military authority. Qualifying administrative law experience involves cases in which a formal procedure was initiated by a governmental administrative body.
The ideal candidate brings crisp, confident writing with a keen eye for detail, along with poised and effective verbal communication in person, by phone, and over video.
