Apply for or Renew an Accelerator License

If you want to purchase or install an accelerator, you must notify the department. They must file the right application for a specific license within 30 days of the initial order.

To apply for a license:

1. Submit an application with Parts I and II.
2. Pay the fee to the DEP and Bureau of Radiation Protection.

You must have a license from the department to operate a particle accelerator for industry or therapy.

Please note that an initial license is valid for five years.
