    The purpose of the Pennsylvania State Board of Higher Education is to provide direction, coordination, and support to ensure that institutions of higher education fully meet the workforce and economic development needs of this Commonwealth and ensure that all residents of this Commonwealth have access to affordable, world-class postsecondary education. 

    SBHE Launches Task Force on the Three-Year Baccalaureate

    The Pennsylvania State Board of Higher Education has formed a Three-Year Baccalaureate Task Force.  Its charge is to compile all existing robust research on this topic; consult with states, systems and institutions in other states that have considered or implemented such degree programs; hold two public forums to obtain public input; and meet with other interested parties as needed.

    Annual Report

    The State Board of Higher Education proudly offers its first annual report, which highlights its accomplishments during its first 18 months of operation. The Board also performed a self assessment and made recommendations relating to the efficacy and structure of the Board.
