The PennDOT Engineering District 2 Press Office joined the Highway Safety Network and State Farm Insurance to welcome ThinkFast Interactive to DuBois Area High School (DAHS) in May 2025. The program is presented in the form of a television game show and brings an interactive program to schools around the country to tackle topics like underage drinking, drug use, traffic safety, and distracted driving.

According to information provided by ThinkFast Interactive, the goal of the program is to empower young people to make better decisions. It consists of team-based trivia and interactive breakout challenges. Based in Grand Rapids, Mich., ThinkFast Interactive was developed in 1997 to provide an engaging and educational experience that would hold the attention of young audiences from start to finish through a series of fun activities, without taking lightly the gravity of the important safety topics being presented.

"It was an honor to partner with State Farm to bring Michigan-based ThinkFast Interactive to DuBois Area High School," said District 2 Community Traffic Safety Project Grant Coordinator Josh Woods.

With more than 600 programs offered annually, ThinkFast Interactive is a celebrated partner in highway safety education, delivering messaging that is in alignment with programs carried out by PennDOT and the Highway Safety Network.

"ThinkFast Interactive provides an engaging and educational traveling game show that utilizes audience response technology to tackle important traffic safety topics such as underage drinking and driving, drowsy driving, distracted driving and seat belt use," said Woods. "ThinkFast shares our common goal of reducing traffic crashes, injuries and deaths. Their program was well-received by the staff and students at DAHS, and we look forward to bringing them back to our area in the future."

According to DuBois Area High School Driver Education Instructor Todd Stiner, the presentation was energetic, informational, and very popular among our students and that after the presentation had concluded, he returned to his classroom to several emails from teachers giving accolades about the program.

“Countless teachers and students commented that they would love to have ThinkFast back again next year because it was that good,” he said. “This was a fantastic presentation that had everyone buzzing and sent our students home wanting it back again. I am very thankful we had the opportunity to see them at DAHS.”

ThinkFast’s visit to DuBois was made possible through funding from State Farm’s Good Neighbor Citizenship Company Grants.
