    The Pennsylvania State Archives has various records related to the military service of Pennsylvanians from the French and Indian War to Vietnam. Additional information on our military records is available in our Research Guides . 

    In 1917, the 28th Division was drafted into service, becoming the 28th Infantry Division, which included a number of Pennsylvania National Guard units.
