Office of Victim Advocate

About the Process

Victim Offender Dialogue (VOD) is a victim initiated restorative justice program that provides a safe space for you to engage in a facilitated conversation with the offender.

VOD includes extensive preparation for both you and the offender by trained facilitators. The facilitators prepare both parties independently for the face-to face meeting.

The meeting is held in a state correctional institution, a safe, private setting, or virtually.

Either you, the offender, or the facilitator, has the right to put the case on hold or end the process at any time.
