Media Advisory: PEMA to Discuss Disaster Preparedness for Older Pennsylvanians

Spring Grove, PA – Tomorrow, Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) Director Randy Padfield and Department of Aging Secretary Jason Kavulich will visit Windy Hill on the Campus Senior Center to discuss preparedness activities for older Pennsylvanians. This visit will feature a workshop designed to help older adults create an emergency plan using resources available to senior centers across the Commonwealth. Pennsylvania is currently home to over 3.5 million individuals who are age 65 or older, and the Commonwealth’s fastest growing demographic is those who are age 85 and older.

September is National Preparedness Month and National Senior Center Month. All Pennsylvanians are encouraged to be informed, be prepared, and be involved.
