    Health and Safety

    Pesticide Programs

    The Bureau of Plant Industry, Division of Health and Safety manages the regulation of pesticides and pesticide applications in the Commonwealth. 

    This includes the:

    • Registration of pesticides distributed in the Commonwealth
    • Certification of pesticide applicators making applications in the Commonwealth
    • Notification requirements for pesticide applications in schools
    • Administration of the EPA Worker Protection Standard

    An interactive Pesticide Business Map is now available, showing the distribution of pesticide businesses throughout the Commonwealth.  This information is searchable by county, business name, business number, and category of pest control.
