Harrisburg – The Pennsylvania
Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC) is now accepting applications for
federal Historic Preservation Certified Local Government (CLG) Grants.
$115,000 will be awarded through a competitive selection process contingent on
availability of federal funds.
The CLG program is
a decentralized partnership among the National Park Service (NPS), states, and
local governments. PHMC administers the grant program on behalf of the NPS.
are available to support projects in the following categories: planning; design
guidelines or design assistance; National Register nominations; cultural
resource surveys; public education; training; revitalization and reuse studies and
program administration. This reimbursement grant program requires a 50/50
deadline for CLG grant applications is Feb. 14, 2014. Projects undertaken between Aug.
1, 2014 and July 31, 2015, are eligible.
are currently 44 Certified Local Governments in Pennsylvania.

if awarded a grant, they must have achieved CLG status by the contract start
date in order to receive funding.
