Governor Corbett Orders State Flags Lowered in Honor of Turnpike Worker

Harrisburg- Governor Corbett today ordered all Pennsylvania flags at the Capitol Complex and at Commonwealth facilities in Montgomery County lowered to half-staff in honor of William F. McGuigan.

McGuigan, an equipment operator of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, was killed while performing his duties Sunday morning on the westbound Turnpike at mile marker post 314.

McGuigan, 61, of Ardsley, joined the Turnpike Commission in April 2005.

Flags shall remain at half-staff until sundown on the day of his interment.

All Pennsylvanians are invited to participate in this tribute.
