Flags Lowered for Wyoming County Firefighter
Harrisburg – Governor Tom
Corbett today ordered Pennsylvania flags in the Capitol Complex and at
commonwealth facilities in Wyoming County lowered to half-staff, TODAY, Nov.
25, in honor of First Assistant Fire Chief Russell Gow III of Factoryville.
Gow, 58, died Thursday while helping
fight a house fire in Factoryville. He had been a volunteer with the
Factoryville Fire Company for 43 years, serving as the borough’s fire chief for
more than 10 years.
State flags shall remain lowered
until sunset today, the day of Gow’s funeral. The U.S. flag should be flown at
full staff today. Both the Pennsylvania and U.S. flags should be flown at full staff
on Tuesday, Nov. 26.
